This mod chip will work on all USA PS1 and PSOne (mini) consoles.

It uses an 8-pin PIC12C509a Microchip, which is mounted with pre soldered wires + Double sided tape and plenty of extra wire.
Best to keep wires as short as possible to their respective board position, we give you extra wire incase you need to rerun the line or mess up.
Chip comes prewired and verified to work. Each chip is hand tested.

If you need this programmed for JP or EUR/PAL consoles, please let us know after your order, otherwise NTSC USA will be used.
For NTSC USA region console, this chip unlocks JP + USA Games and Backups to play - region free play as well.
For NTSC Japanese (NTSC-J / NTSC-JP) consoles only: These chips only unlock Backup play. It's a limitation of the PS1 Japanese system bios. Supposedly some JP consoles will work on region unlock mode (later models) but i have been unable to confirm which ones. JP console owners, please do your own research first before buying it. I am unable to confirm JP region unlock for all models. Yours may work, it may not - later revision consoles supposedly do work. Otherwise you'll need to replace your bios with a USA one.
It will bypass all newer modchip detection routines found in some of the newer games.
This mod will require basic soldering experience, however at most all you need to do here is solder in 6-7 wires depending on PS1 Version. This Mod Chip comes fully assembled otherwise.
This ModChip will play imports and your backups.
