BEAUTIFUL HANDMADE FLUTEMAKERS GUILD SOLID STERLING SILVER OPEN-HOLE FLUTE (#345)

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a superb Flutemakers Guild flute from an iconic British maker. The Flutemakers Guild in London was started in 1961, following the breakaway of seven craftsman from the famous flute makers Rudall Carte & Co - Ewen McDougall, Harry Seeley, David Keen, John Wicks, Roger Harris, David Tebbutt and John Wells. These craftsman specialised initially in handmade wooden then silver flutes and have since individually become some of the most respected British flute makers, their work extremely sought-after.

This is a beautiful and rare flute and represents the best British craftsmenship of the 1970s when the Flutemakers Guild was at its peak. It is fully hallmarked throughout and has open-holes with soldered tone holes, inline G, French pointed key arms and C foot. The condition is excellent and the mechanism has been regularly adjusted. The pads have plenty of life in them and the headjoint plays particularly well for a flute of this age and the pitch is A-442.

This flute also comes in a rare Flutemakers Guild double case for flute and piccolo. It is a lockable case with a simple lock but the original key has been lost.

Should the flute not be suitable then I will refund in full (minus postage costs). I have no interest in any player having a flute that is not right for them and so I will always offer this refund on any flute purchased.

Please contact me with any questions regarding the flute or the purchase discount. Many thanks, Kevin Jones.
