In 1924 Frederick G. R. Roth unveiled a spectacular bronze sculpture of a roaring lion for Columbia University which is displayed at Baker Field.  This smaller bronze replica of a roaring lion captures all the beauty of that larger bronze in perfection.  The indigenous people of East Africa claim the when the lion roars he is saying "Whose Land, Whose Land" followed by "Mine Mine Mine" and if you listen to the roar you can hear it.  This bronze measures 2 and 7/16 inches tall x 5 and 11/16 inches long, in very good condition with minor wear and no notable damage.  As a veteran collector of wildlife art this is a must and it is only the second time in my life I have ever found one - the other is in my personal collection and a favorite of all my lion sculptures.   Net weight of this figure is 9 ounces.
