Up for sale here is this rebuild kit for the Advent 300 receiver.  This includes all the parts you need to rebuild an Advent 300.  This kit is intended to rebuild a working receiver.  It includes replacements for all the electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the receiver, including the two axial 3300 uf capacitors.  The kit also includes replacements for a number of problematic transistors on the boards, and includes replacement emitter resistors and replacement amp board trimmers.

These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage equipment.  Capacitors are Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Supertech axial, Wima film, Panasonic film, and one N470 disc cap.  Transistors are Onsemi.  Axial capacitors are provided to replace the original axial caps, except the 1 uf axial electrolytics are replaced with Panasonic 1 uf 250v film caps.  The original 20 pf N750 disc cap in the tuner section is replaced with a 22 pf N470 disc cap, which can help correct tuner drift.

This kit includes a total of 85 parts.  The parts for the two large boards are individually bagged for ease of installation, and the instructions will tell you how the transistors go in.  This is a mildly complicated rebuild, but it's not too bad.  You should know what you're doing and have a decent soldering iron, heat-sink compound, and a dim-bulb tester with 40W, 60W, or 100W incandescent bulb.  I would recommend a desoldering gun such as a Hakko FR-301, but it's not absolutely necessary.
