Princess of the Navajo Barbie doll

A beautiful young girl with long dark hair and sparkling brown oyes lives in the desert of the American southwest. She is a Navajo, or as she would say, Dine’ which means “the people”. Her father is the chieftain; the Navajo call him the headman or Naatani. She lives comfortably in a tradition house called a hogan. The doorway of the hogan faces East so that can begin each day by greeting the rising Sun.

The Navajo have many wonderful arts and this girl is learning many of them. They are master silversmith, they create beautiful baskets and intricate sand paintings. Waiving is very important to the Navajo and their rugs are famous around the world.
