“Papier d'Egypte is a disinfectant composed of antiseptic ingredients and of rare perfumes … Detach one of the dotted slips, light it, the paper should burn slowly, without flame; perfumed vapors are thus evolved which may be distributed at will, throughout the apartment.” All 32 slips on eight leaves (four to a leaf) of Papier d'Egypte are present and still emit a light fragrance.
