Tekno (Denmark) No. 550 Volkswagen Type II Microbus Code 3.  A beautiful restoration on this lovely & now rare model. Bright three-tone exterior with a white roof, dark green middle panels and a light blue lower.  The original hubs are painted white.  The only replacement parts are the tires, as they were too hardened to be saved. They were replaced with the proper reproduction items.  Original windows and headlamps.  

In all, the model displays wonderfully and could easily pass for a mint example.

A note about Code 3 models.  There seems to be some confusion about what constitutes a Code 3 versus a re-issue.  Code 3 models are original models, many produced well over a half-century ago that have been meticulously restored to their original standards.  They are not copies of these same models mass produced in Asian factories today.
