Bauer A 512

Up for auction is a very nice Bauer A 512 with famous Schneider Optivaron 1.8 / 6 - 70mm lens. Very sharp and wide zoom range. You can take macro shots with the lens right up to the front lens. If you haven't heard of the camera yet, I'll write a little about it: the lens of the A 512 is, according to many Super 8 enthusiasts, the best lens ever produced for Super 8 cameras. In any case, the lens is at least as good as the lenses of the Leicina Special, Beaulieu 4008 and Nizo professional. So the camera plays in the highest league, but you get it for about half the price. The camera has all the technical possibilities that a professional Super 8 camera of the last generation can have. But you can also just shoot with it without thinking too much and test the possibilities of the camera over time.

The camera and the lens are in excellent condition (very few sings of use at the body of the camera) and fully working, also the motorzoom, metering, film movement. I tested this Bauer A 512 with real Super 8 film (along with other cameras), had the film developed and scanned - everything perfect! All Super 8 cameras are at least 40 years old. Unfortunately, they often no longer work 100%, so a test is important before you expose a roll with important film shots with it - believe me!

It is very difficult to find one of the most advanced Super 8 Bauer camera version (large Variogon Macro lens) in such good condition and perfectly working!

The glass is clear - no blemishes, chips or scratches. No haze, fungus, whatsoever. Just some little spots of dust inside (no impact, just to mention it). The focus and zoom ring are moving just perfect.

Comes with lens cap and eye cup.

You have 60 days after receiving it to return it and get a full refund of your bid amount.
