Rare vintage Portmeirion shellfish plate in the hard-to-find "Kingdom of the Sea" series.. This plate is 8 1/2" diameter and features old-fashioned scientific   images of different crustaceans, designed by Susan Williams-Ellis. The bottom stamp tells what the creature is. This is for the Spiny Lobster (Palinurus Vulgaris) plate.  I also have the Common Lobster and Edible Crab in other listings.. The pattern is a dark sepia brown on white. People tend to hold onto these and they're a bit hard to find. Other than some crazing, condition is excellent. Made in England.
