This large photograph was taken in the late 1920’s or early 1930’s. Benjamin Ashbaucher ran his studio in Bluffton Indiana from 1893-1912, it continued under that name for a number of years after his death. The photo was taken in front of the city building. This building was not constructed until 1926. The 4 leaf clover on the front of each apron could be from the girl’s participation in 4-H. That organization was started in 1902, It might be a group of girls from something different, but their matching pointy hats are quite interesting. There are men in the background of the photo, wearing suits, looking out the windows. The photo has no writing on the back and is currently in a modern frame. The photo has a few creases, from having been rolled. The photo measures 17 3/4 wide x 8 inches high.
