Milk Oolong Tea is a relatively new cultivar in the delicious world of Oolong teas and is prized for its inherent cream and butter notes. Lower quality versions have these notes enhanced through aromatization but the finest, true Milk Oolong Tea offer lightly roasted, rolled leaves that yield a light-bodied cup with a sweet buttery texture and delicate floral aroma. Also called Jin Xuan or Golden Lily, it is ideal for multiple infusions and a dedicated Yixing teapot. The first three infusions of this tea will have a slight milky scent, whereas this scent will gradually reduce for the next cups.

Steep 3 grams of oolong leaves for 4 – 5 minutes. The tea is ready when leaves have unfurled. Afterward, pour a cup and enjoy the rejuvenating aroma before savoring the delicious cup.

– After the first steep, the second can be a bit shorter as the leaves have already opened up. Apply 2 minutes for your second brew and increase the steeping time for the next rounds.
