Minton Black & Neoclassical Gold Encrusted 12.5" SERVING BOWL W.H. Plummer c1920

Extremely unusual to see this bowl form which must have been made for a very specific high
end buyer of W. H. Plummer, NYC.  It has a handwritten GA1385a mark on the bright white
base with its gold covered foot.

The bowl is 3.5 inches tall and curves inward near the top with 1/2 inch gold encrusted rim
featuring eagles, urns and stylized flowers (photo #6).  The interior is on a cream background
overlaid with delicate gold filigree of wreaths, urns and swags with raised gold dots.  In the center
of the wreaths are oval flowers with thickly raised gold (photo #4).

This bowl with match with myriads of Minton patterns.

Enjoy!
