c1890 Oscar Gutherz Limoges Spring Flowers/Gold Filigree 10.75" CAKE PLATE-Chip!

This wonderfully decorated piece with its delicate florals and filigree was decorated

by Oscar Gutherz on the JP/L blank.  Each piece is slightly different with the floral

elements apparently hand-painted.  Parts of an extensive set of this pattern is listed

with many pieces also having the green JP L mark.

The green JP L mark was used from 1890-1932 but the circular red mark with O. Gutherz 

was only used in the late 1880's and would date this between 1890 and 1900.

The handled cake plate is 10.75 inches x 9.75 and is 1.25 inches tall at the rim. The low

price accomodates the chip near the handle.
