The Australia 5 Dollar Novelty banknote was issued in 1988 to commemorate the Bicentenary World Expo held in Brisbane, Queensland on April 30 - October 30, 1988. Shown on the obverse is the Expo sun sails logo illustrating the Expos entertainment while the reverse is the logo that displays a globe grid. The banknote was only accepted as legal tender within and during the 1988 World Exposition. Printed by the American Bank Note Company, this paper bill is 160 x 79 mm in size and has no watermarks and security threads. This banknote is in uncirculated condition.
