Der italienische Zeichner und Radierer Stefano della Bella (1610 Florenz - 1664 ebenda) gilt als ein Meister der Barockradierung und hinterließ ein umfangreiches Werk von über tausend Zeichnungen und Radierungen, darunter Schlachten- Militär- und Jagddarstellungen, Karten und Dekorationen, Seestücke, Capriccios und Tierserien. Die Darstellung zeigt einen Faunus und eine Fauna mit ihren beiden Kindern.

  • Inscription: Signed below the image "Steph' de la Bella / Inven. et sculpsit.", inscribed on top of the cardboard "Italienische Schule, XVII. century. Etching", stamped on verso "Facsimile Reproduction der Reichsdruckerei Berlin". The Italian draughtsman and etcher Stefano della Bella (1610 Florence - 1664 ibid.) is considered a master of Baroque etching and left behind an extensive oeuvre of over a thousand drawings and etchings, including depictions of battles, military and hunting scenes, maps and decorations, seascapes, capriccios and animal series. The depiction shows a faunus and a fauna with their two children.

  • Condition: Good condition. Very nice sheet of good condition! Sheet a little bit browned due to its age, cardboard with light margins. The image makes an excellent impression.
