COLLECTION LIQUIDATION --

I am helping a magic friend sell most of his collection, (and I already had a ton of magic I was trying to get listed!) so I am putting his Collection items in this separate eBay store category, and I will probably not be saying too much about the items.  I will give a few good photos, and I will give a quick assessment of the item.

If you know your magic, you will recognize many items and know they are a great deal here. Or if you don't know the item, you may have to do a bit of online research to find out about it.  Or you can just trust my honest (though quick) assessment of any item -- I always endeavor to tell you the good and the bad of anything I sell.

Message me if you are seriously considering buying something , and want a bit more info on it.  Happy to help.

And keep checking the "COLLECTION LIQUIDATION" category of my ebay store, as I will be adding more items all the time!

Collectors of high quality magic props know the name Mikame Craft.  Since his start in the late 1960's, making high quality wood items for Tenyo and Tricks Co, Ltd in Japan, Mikame established himself as a master crafter of beautiful high quality magic props.    When he opened his own company, Mikame Craft was able to create a wide range of items.

This is one of Mikame's more whimsical items, based on the prop that Richard Himber used to open his rope routine.  (I am 99% sure, but maybe I am not remembering correctly)     Mikame's Rope Blackboard is a fine rendition of the rope opener, which is part-gag, but also part mystery.

Magician shows a plain blackboard, and writes the word "ROPE" on it, saying he will now do a trick with some rope,   He sets the board down, and looks in his pockets for rope.  But cannot find any.   So he picks up the board, and plucks the chalked word right out of the board -- the written chalk line has transformed into a rope!

The Board is about 18 x 13 inches.   (Compare it to the deck of cards in the photo -- card are not included, or needed.  Just there to give a quick sense of size scale.)

This Mikame board has never been used -- the gimmick flap is still in its shrinkwrap.  The rope is the origianl rope supplied by Mikame, and has not yet been cut to size for the board.  The original japanese language instruction sheet is included, as well as the original "template" stencil pages for writing the word "rope".   The origina blue and white storage box has one corner that has come apart, but this could be easily repeaired with some tape.  (It does not effect the working of the trick, of course).

On my recent online search, I see Mikame rope boards ranging in price from $180-$300.   (There are unfortunately some knockoff boards available also for less.  Trust me!  You want an authentic Mikame!)

I'll price this like-new example at the lower end of that range.      Gosh, what a great guy!  :-)

CONDITION NOTES:  previously owned, but in like new condition.  apparently unused with all original props, storage box, and instructions.   The gimmick flap is still in its original shrinkwrap.   The blue and white Mikame storage box is "split on one corner, but could be easily repaired with tape.

DOMESTIC (USA) SHIPPING NOTE:   this item weighs about 4 pounds when securely packed for shipment, so postage costs will be high, depending on your zip code.    So take a look at the different shipping options available, as Priority Mail or Fed Ex may actually be less than USPS Ground Advantage if you are near the West Coast.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING NOTE:   ebay handles international shipping, and I don't know how much it will be to ship this item from US to your country.  Probably a lot!   Sorry, but nothing I can do about that.
