This recent find comes from Estate of Retired Military Officer and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center Aerospace Engineer/Physicist who worked on many projects including Mercury and Apollo missions through Space Shuttle missions that laid the groundwork for the International Space Station and later played a critical role in the development and launch of the Hubble Space Telescope, including Mission Control - Most importantly Mr. Young (Previous owner) was the Inventor and holds patent on the Solar-Array system that powers Hubble, Freedom and the "ISS" International Space Station. Listing includes a collection of over 100 items from the early 1980's (mostly 1984) relating to STS-41D OAST-1 including the following:

• 74 1st Generation PHOTOS (8X10) with purple ink stamp on back side
• SIMPSON ELECTRIC COMPANY BINDER with 38 1st GENERATION PHOTOS with purple ink stamps on back side - Photos have handwritten (in ink) coordinates on the front side (2 of the Photos are concept photos of the Shuttle and STS-41D - these two photos are 1st Gen "THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK", but do not have the purple ink stamp)
• GEORGE C. MARSHALL SPACE FLIGHT CENTER LABORATORY NOTEBOOK
• OAST-1 MISSION OBJECTIVE/MISSION INFORMATION BOOKLET
• 1 MSFC BADGE
• 1 KSC BADGE OAST-1 STS-41D LAUNCH preparation - Dated August 25, 1984
• 1 KSC BADGE STS-41F (this mission was scheduled for August 30, 1984, but cancelled due to payload delays)
• OAST-1 labeled FOLDER with Drawing (looks like maybe an x-ray print of one of the solar array 1st Gen photos)
