Their furniture, crafted for the high-end market, bore considerable price tags and was never mass-produced, ensuring the exclusivity of each design for their discerning clientele.

The Hamilton long sideboard, a creation of British design luminary Robert Heritage, holds a special place in the history of the British Council, with Heritage receiving more awards than any other designer. Notably, Heritage contributed to the interior design of the Queen Elizabeth II Ocean Liner in collaboration with Ernest Race in 1968.

This splendid Hamilton sideboard has undergone meticulous refurbishment, and its vintage condition is nothing short of excellent. Composed of stunning teak wood, it boasts four drawers to the left, featuring reeded fronts and elegant brass handles. The drawers, both inside and out, remain in superb condition. The top drawer retains its original green felt cutlery compartments, while the three drawers below are thoughtfully divided by wooden partitions, facilitating organised storage. The drawers boast dovetail joints, confirming the high quality build of this sideboard. To the right of the drawers, two captivating Rosewood cupboard doors, adorned with brass handles, open to reveal spacious cupboards with shelves on either side. These shelves are designed to accommodate taller items such as drink bottles. The sideboard elegantly rests on tapered Mid-Century legs and showcases a beautifully grained top, impeccably maintained. Verso to the sideboard -  proudly bears the Archie Shine Ltd label, a mark of its exceptional quality.
