This UK Free Post 'Buy it Now' is for a New, Hornby, A4 British Railways, Early Crest, loco body named 'Mallard' and numbered 60022 from the 'The Mallard' set R1040. This body is rarely available, especially new.

This is a lovely body with full cab glazing, front window detailing, separately applied boiler and cab handles, vacuum pipe and sprung buffers. There is also a detailing pack containing cab doors, as pictured.

Please check out the picture from the underside of this body. The rear underside of the body is quite different to later designed bodies, so it won't be a straight forward fit to all A4 chassis. The chassis that this body was attached to was a tender drive, 'Super Detail' loco as shown on Hornby service sheets 217 and 256 from about 2005.
