Authentic 1972 Fender Tele neck. This neck blank went on a drying rack in July 1972, and likely was on a completed Tele that fall. It would be accurate and appropriate for early and mid 70s Teles, though it of course could be used with any vintage style 50s, 60s, and 70s Tele.

No modifications. It has only ever had vintage F tuners on it, and the original bushings have never been removed and are included (note that the neck requires pre-1976 F tuners). Original string trees are also included.

I'm uncertain if it's been refretted. The frets look like the larger width frets Fender sometimes used at the time and the finish on the fretboard, as the rest of the neck, appears original.

Note that there is a small crack in the headstock at the A string peg hole, as shown in pics. Its appearance has not changed in the 30+ years I've had the neck. Heavy checking and such cracks around the peg holes is not uncommon on vintage Tele necks. When above the holes like this and stable it's just cosmetic.

The tuner mounting holes were not filled and redrilled. That's just some old dried whatever that I should have picked off before taking pics.

Approximate though highly accurate measurements:

1.60" nut width

1.98" width at 12th fret

0.85" deep at 1st fret

0.92" deep at 12th fret
