- A spectacular collection of pictures from the late Mr. Sadao -
This collection of illustrations by the late Sadao Hasegawa is unsurpassed in beauty and style.
This
masterpiece, which is highly regarded in the domestic as well as the
international market, has appeared in numerous international
publications such as IN STYLE, OG and BLUE. His works have been used on
the cover of European art books and special articles were written up in
OG and BLUE in the past.
A comment from Sadao Hasegawa says,
"When
I think of Japanesque, a special feeling comes over me. Maybe it's
because I myself am Japanese, a certain sense of awareness overcomes me.
I also believe that the Japanese male body looks most attractive when
clothed in traditional Japanese costumes. I also believe that
non-Japanese people would find this to be true. I would one day like to
see some of the younger guys wearing a traditional Japanese loincloth."
Reminiscent
of the paintings of the Edo period, the penis is exaggerated and the
pubic hair is exquisitely illustrated in detail. A feeling of sorrow
and darkness lies hidden beneath masculine bodies showing their youthful
innocence. Combining Southeast Asian influences with traditional
Japanese painting methods, this form of eroticism is a feast for the
senses.
