Vintage Schwinn Impact MTB Bike Frame and Fork. I suspect this Mountain Bike is from the mid to late 1980s and considered a medium or big medium frame set: It measures: Seat tube 43.5cm Center to top of the top tube or 47cm or 18.5" bottom bracket Center to Top of the seat mast, with a 54.5cm center to center top tube and the head tube is 92mm tall. The Frame is made of 4130 CR-MO / Chromoly Steel tubes and has an unique finish, a type of gun metal chrome process. The 1" Threaded Fork has 100mm Spacing and the Frame has 126mm Rear Spacing. Frame & Fork has studs for cantilever brakes. Serial Number is # GS8044xx. Pretty Sure this Frame set was made by Giant for Schwinn. Frame is Used, it does have scratches, has finish & decal loss, nicks, fading, shows wear, possible rust and small dents. Plenty of Pictures to mull over.
