Seven variations on the theme of ``The Men Who Know Love'' from Mozart's ``The Magic Flute'' are performed on both days. Masu. The same duo made a session recording of Beethoven's complete works in 1977, but this is a live recording of November 6th and 7th, 1978 with a different sound source!

This is a masterpiece from Starker's most productive period as a performer, when he was in his mid-50s. Starkel fell in love with the talented Buchbinder, and they have been working together since Buchbinder was in his 20s. Even in this live performance, they performed in perfect harmony.
