World War I Military Metal Hat Box

With Brass Plaque Stamped 'E.H. Haywood'

It is has had a hard life, but is still functional!

Ideal for reenactment etc

I have no idea what hat this box was designed for. It looks military and I believe is WWI period, but I'm not sure.

My information came from other eBay listings, so I hope I'm correct! Please let me know if not!

It does have considerable wear, marks, rust, holes, dents, dings, other marks & scratches. These are clearly visible & I hope my photos show the aforementioned reasonably well.

It weighs approximately 1300g. The outside measures approximately 15cm high & 27.5cm diameter.

I assume it is made of steel?

This has been in my garage for a while and now it’s time for it to find a new owner!
