A highly sought after and extremely RARE Christmas collectible!

In this comical scene, a mouse, dressed as a casino slot employee, has just won a large jackpot as he fills up his pot with a pile of large silver coins while more coins continue to tumble out of the coin tray of the slot machine.

The slot machine which shows a denomination play of 5 cents (nickel slot) is made of hard silver tone plastic and resembles the old style Las Vegas slot machines which display three-rolling metal vertical reels and colorful symbols. Here the symbols are: 3 yellow stars (which the player has just lined up to obtain the current jackpot payout) hearts, the sun, a bell and a green Christmas gift-box.

The arm of the slot machine is plastic and is stationery--it is not meant to be pulled. The slot machine is decorative rather than functional; the three vertical reels are not designed or intended to spin within the "machine."

On one side of the dice cube a green arrow-sticker tells us to "Insert Coin Here." After you wind the music-box crank (see the underside of the dice cube) you move the nearby red slider-switch to the "Off" position. Then you insert a coin of the proper size into the slot to the right of the green arrow-sticker; the dropping of the coin activates the music-box movement and tune.

The slot machine and mouse will then begin to rotate on the circular green felt base as the music box begins to play the old familiar FDR-Era tune "We're in the money!"

The coin will immediately drop out of the dice-box from the underside--so that you can retrieve the coin and use it again to activate this collectible over and over again. This is not a bank and you cannot save coin money in it. This collectible is therefore not a gambling device or a savings bank and is designed purely for fun and for Holiday display.

This brilliantly designed Christmas collectible was conceived in 1996 by designer Karen Hahn. Enesco's "Best Deal In Town" soon became one of the most famous and beloved of all Enesco's Holiday productions and remains one of the most popular and avidly sought item by collectors!

The base of the cube displays Enesco's hallmark gold sticker and another gold sticker with the name of the tune the music box plays. One edge of the cube reads, in raised plastic letters: "Designed by Karen Hahn. C [for copyright] 1996 by Enesco Corporation."

A brief page of Instructions and an Enesco Collector's Display Tag are also included!
