CONDITION:  Some wear to gold trim.

This bone china tea cup and saucer was produced in England by an unknown manufacturer in the mid 19th century.  It may have been Anysley, judging from the shape and the design.  There are tiny hand painted numbers on the back of the saucer.  The saucer measures 5 3/8 inches in diameter.  The cup is 2 5/8 inches high with a diameter of  2 5/8 inches.  The ground color is light mint green.  Gold beaded cartouches contain landscape scenes done in monochrome shades of puce.  They depict water, mountains and
buildings.  The cartouches are hand gilded and are accented with raised enamel beads or jewels.  There are gilded bands and trim on rims and handle.  It is lovely for display.  #E459
