A very nicely hand carved natural amethyst Loquat ( double plum) fruit and a Shou bead lariat style pendant hanging from a fancy silver chain.  There are 2 more shou beads at equal distance on each side of the chain. The closure, the caps on the Shou beads, and the jump ring on the loquat are brass. The chain in between them is silver. The closure is an old-fashioned spring ring closure. The necklace is 24 inches long with a 1.75-inch drop Lariat. The Loquat fruit is 1 L x 1 H x .5 W inches, the Shou beads 12 mm round.

The style of the closure dates the item to the late 19th century - early 20th century. There are some visible hairline cracks in the gemstones when viewing it through a loop, and a broken and missing piece on the fruit at the top where the chain is attached to it.
