I have listed for you perusal a really wonderful piece of High Victorian Dining Table Decor in the form of a Rare Novelty Silver Plated Palm Tree Centrepiece.

This particular centrepiece apart from each of the 6 attached embellishments (Base Swags and Lower 3x Three Palm fronds attachments) being numbered it is totally devoid of a makers mark, backstamp or hallmark. During the 19th Century the most prominent company producing such wears was Elkington & Co, or some producer of the same ilk.

Update:
Through the knowlege of a good soul and now good eBay friend, I think with total confidance and agreement that this particular Palmtree Centrepiece/Garnisher was produced by Thomas Bradbury & Sons in around 1870-80. As they also produced top grade table decoration items with identical base design.

A super quality table piece although unmarked anywhere, but by its design and quality casting is almost certainly by silversmiths Thomas Bradbury & Sons, England.
Because of its a precision built item, it enables the owner/user to take it apart by undoing 9 wingnuts to its base section and after doing so can be broken down into 7 manageable pieces for cleaning and polishing purposes.

Like Pineapples in the Regency period, Palm trees were the go too Novelty things to adorn a mid 19th Century (Victorian) dining table, as Queen herself loved them.

Condition is excellent throughout, the centrepiece stands 8.5"/21.5cm high is 7.5"/19cm Wide and weighs 1.072kg

The listed postage cost is for UK Buyers only. European/International Buyer I would advise using eBay's own Global Shipping Service for delivery to your own location.
