This is a pair of Gorham sterling silver weighted candlesticks in the Buttercup pattern. They are 9-1/2" high, 4-3/8" diameter on the bottom. No monograms. They match the highly popular Gorham Buttercup flatware pattern and are hard to find. The weighted bottom helps to keep the candlesticks stable when candles are inserted. They weigh about 4 lbs without packing. They date to about the 1950's.

PLEASE NOTE: In general the condition is very good.

There are a couple of minor dings on the bottom of one of the sticks, not terribly pronounced and hard to see in the photo. There are a few minor dings and fleabites here and there, such as the tops where the candles sit, but they are all minor and hard to notice unless you are a perfectionist. Some of the sections of the sticks turn but do not come apart.  The sticks are stable.

Please remember that these sticks are about 70 years old and will have age and use related imperfections.

These candlesticks are quite stunning in a refined way and would really gather attention on a table set with Gorham Buttercup flatware.
