As part of Orbital Surplus' replica line:

We are happy to offer a very accurate, high quality, replica Gemini Spacesuit Chest fitting.

This style of spacesuit umbilical disconnect, for Oxygen in & out, were first used on the NASA Gemini missions, then used on Apollo, and are in fact, still being used on the new Artemis launch / entry, or IVA suit.
Over the years, these have been anodized in; Light blue (this version), Red and Royal Blue. There were also variations of this type, a taller version and a shorter version.
This is the Short version.
(See our other auctions for other replica O2 fittings and spacesuit hardware)

Our replicas are machined in 6061 aircraft aluminum and have been polished and anodized to the correct Mil-Spec light blue color. (Note: Some surviving suits do suffer from color fading, so you could use this for a later "flown" Apollo spacesuit)

They are nearly Identical in size of the real fittings used on the all of the Gemini Space suits, (See last photo above of real Gemini spacesuit) as well as the Apollo One suits, but have a simplified "snap in" Delrin plastic tab system, that allows the hose fittings to be securely snapped in.
These allow free rotation of the hoses.

The locking button & locking tabs on this version, have no function.

Produced by our partner, Global Effects Inc., these rings were originally produced during the Production of "First Man", and this style of disconnects have been used on most of their highest quality space suit replicas.

Each Set Includes
1 - Light Blue O2 chest mounted fitting  (1-Gold lock button, 2-Gold lock tabs)
1 - Black Delrin "fingered" snap insert

These are extremely limited art pieces.
We currently only have 8 of these on hand.

Here at Orbital Surplus, we collect odds and ends from anywhere in the galaxy. So depending on what empire has collapsed, space freighter has crashed or Transport "got lost", we never know what we will receive next. However, we have lost our lease on the asteroid we have called home for more than 30 solar cycles and have to move. So we are finding stuff we forgot we had, and this is where you luck out, cause it all has to go!
