This fascinating glass eye which was skilfully made by hand dates from the first half of the 1900's and originates from France.
This was hand blown with the iris and pupil blown into the glass and is one of the early stages of manufacturing with the eye still being attached to the original stalk before it has been cut and painted.
This rare item has a hand written label fixed to it from when it was manufactured and would make an interesting collector's piece.
