For sale is a set of 4 Art Deco hand-painted ceramic vessels produced in Japan for Mepoco in the 1920s. They can be used separately as bowls and vases or stacked with the vases serving as pedestals for the bowls.

Measurements:
Bowls: 3-1/2" tall, 3-1/4" base diameter, 4-1/4" mouth diameter.
Vases: 6-1/8" tall, 4-1/4" base diameter, 3-1/2" mouth diameter, 5" diameter at widest part.
Overall height is 9-1/2" when stacked.

Condition:
The general condition is very good for vessels that may be old enough to be considered antique.
The tall vases are free of crazing and chips. They appear to be molded, as they show an uniform straight vertical line on each side. There is minor loss of the black paint on the rim of one (photo). On the other there is an incomplete crack in the upper section that does not involve the rim (photo).
The bowls are free of chips and cracks, but show crazing (photos) and wear of the black paint on the rims (photos).
