  • Beschreibung: Das hier gezeigte wohl komponierte, charakteristische Landschaftsporträt wurde mit menschlichen Figuren und Tieren lebhaft staffiert und zeigt eine Szene, wie sie der Künstler bei seinen Streifzügen durch die Umgebung gesehen haben könnte. Seine Fähigkeit besteht auch darin, einem Motiv aus dem Alltag einer rastenden Familie am Fluss Reiz abzugewinnen, indem er die wahrgenommenen Phänomene bewusst komponiert. Bei der vorliegenden Ansicht bildet etwa der Baum am linken Bildrand einen strukturellen Fixpunkt im Vordergrund und entspricht damit konventionellen Forderungen der Komposition. | Wasserzeichen: Lilie im Wappenschild, darüber Krone

  • Description: The well-composed, characteristic landscape portrait shown here is vividly coloured with human figures and animals and depicts a scene as the artist might have seen it on his forays through the surrounding countryside. His skill also lies in his ability to add charm to a motif from the everyday life of a family resting by the river by consciously composing the perceived phenomena. In the present view, for example, the tree on the left edge of the picture forms a fixed structural point in the foreground and thus fulfils conventional compositional requirements. | Watermark: Lily in shield, crown above
