  • Beschreibung: Aus der Hand des Münchner Künstlers Eduard Ille; Ille war Maler und begabter Zeichner, der es verstand, sein Talent auf den Gebieten der Illustration, Karikatur und Schriftstellerei zum Einsatz zu bringen. Zum Leben des Künstlers: Studium an der Akademie der bildenden Künste in München bei Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld und Moritz von Schwind; sowohl der Feder als auch des Zeichenstiftes mächtig, arbeitete er über viele Jahre als ständiger Mitarbeiter an den Münchner Zeitschriften "Fliegende Blätter" und "Münchener Bilderbogen", an denen auch Wilhelm Busch mitarbeitete; am außerordentlichen Erfolg der "Fliegenden Blätter", deren Mitredakteur er 1863 wurde, hatte er großen Anteil - seine karikaturistischen Schilderungen aus der Biedermeierzeit erfreuten sich großer Beliebtheit; Kollege von Lothar Meggendorfer und Edmund Harburger; bis heute zieren seine Wandmalereien zu den Liedern Walthers von der Vogelweid das Ankleidezimmer des Königs auf Schloss Neuschwanstein; 1868 Ehrung von der Münchener Akademie mit dem Professorentitel.   • Description: From the hand of the Munich artist Eduard Ille; Ille was a painter and talented draughtsman who knew how to utilise his talent in the fields of illustration, caricature and writing. About the artist's life: Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Julius Schnorr von Carolsfeld and Moritz von Schwind; proficient with both the pen and the drawing pencil, he worked for many years as a permanent contributor to the Munich magazines "Fliegende Blätter" and "Münchener Bilderbogen", to which Wilhelm Busch also contributed; He played a major role in the extraordinary success of the "Fliegende Blätter", of which he became co-editor in 1863 - his caricaturistic depictions from the Biedermeier period enjoyed great popularity; colleague of Lothar Meggendorfer and Edmund Harburger; to this day, his murals of Walther von der Vogelweid's songs adorn the king's dressing room at Neuschwanstein Castle; honoured with the title of professor by the Munich Academy in 1868.
