  • Beschreibung: Sehr schöne Kupferstich-Ansicht der südländischen Gegend bei Marino in Latium mit reicher Vegetation. Eine Ruine am linken Bildrand und zwei Bäume am rechten bilden den Rahmen der Darstellung, in deren Mittelgrund Wäscherinnen an einem gemauerten Waschplatz zu entdecken sind. In der Ferne hinter einer Kapelle erstreckt sich ein Gebirge mit zwei Bergstädten, im unmittelbaren Vordergrund ist ein kleiner Gebirgsbach zu sehen. Während seines Italienaufenthalts 1835 - 1844 begeisterte sich der Hannoversche Maler und Radierer vor allem für die Deutschrömer und die klassisch-heroischen Landschaften seines Lehrers Joseph Anton Koch.

  • Zustand: Guter Zustand. Stockfleckig. Die Blattkanten sind bestoßen und durch Einrisse beschädigt, die teils auf der Rückseite fachmännisch restauriert wurden. Das Blatt weist Knicke auf, von denen die Darstellung nicht betroffen ist. Sie macht einen sehr guten Eindruck.

  • Description: Very beautiful copper engraving view of the southern region near Marino in Lazio with rich vegetation. A ruin on the left and two trees on the right form the frame of the depiction, in the middle ground of which washerwomen can be seen at a brick-built washing area. In the distance, behind a chapel, there is a mountain range with two mountain towns, while a small mountain stream can be seen in the immediate foreground. During his stay in Italy from 1835 to 1844, the Hanoverian painter and etcher was particularly enthusiastic about the German Romans and the classical-heroic landscapes of his teacher Joseph Anton Koch.

  • Condition: Good condition. Foxing. The sheet edges are bumped and damaged by tears, some of which have been professionally restored on the reverse. The sheet has creases which do not affect the image. It makes a very good impression.
