  • Beschreibung: Muntere Figurenszene in historischem Kostüm. Auf einem zweispännigen Wagen reist eine adelige Frau durch eine italienisch wirkende Landschaft. Sie begleiten sechs Frauen, teils nachfolgend, eine sich an sie schmiegend, in stoffreichen antikisierenden Gewändern. Eine richtet sich den Schuh und blickt aufbruchsbereit zur Fahrenden. Möglicherweise eine Darstellung einer mythologischen oder legendenhaften Erzählung.

  • Description: Lively figure scene in historical costume. A noblewoman is travelling on a two-horse carriage through an Italianate landscape. She is accompanied by six women, some following her, one clinging to her, in fabric-rich antique-style robes. One of them straightens her shoe and looks towards the traveller, ready to set off. Possibly a depiction of a mythological or legendary tale.

  • Condition: Rather good condition. Several fine scratches and losses of colour in the centre, occasionally somewhat coarser. Traces of former framing and slight discolouration along the edges. The lower right corner of the sheet missing.
