Interesting Art Pottery Vase - Streaked Souffle Glaze - Believed Devonmoor Pottery - c.1925

A very interesting Art Pottery vase with a streaked souffle glaze of the type produced by the Ruskin and Pilkingtons Royal Lancastrian factories but believed to originate from the Devonmoor Pottery. The Devonmoor Pottery was established in Newton Abbot, Devon, in the early twentieth century and this vase is typical of some of the better Art Pottery produced by the factory in respect of both shape and colour. The vase has a slightly recessed foot and is apparently unmarked although there may be marks present beneath the glaze that covers the foot - this is quite common with Devonmoor pieces.

Condition

 In good condition without cracks, or restoration - for complete accuracy there is a small shallow chip to the inside of the footrim - some minor loss to the glaze at the foot likely from manufacture.
