- Black Spider wood has been aged in the sun making it different from traditional Spider wood. Black Spider wood makes a great addition to any freshwater aquarium, terrariums and reptile tanks

- Spider wood has been kiln dried for shipping purposes and to prevent contamination and unwanted pests. For this reason, the wood will not sink immediately, it will need to absorb water. You will need to use a weight or rock to initially sink the wood, after one week, the wood will sink by itself. Also, a white fungus might develop over the wood but that is normal. Fish may even eat it, The fungus will disappear on its own overtime. Epiphyte plants (such as anubias, java fern, mosses and buce plants) can be attached (glued or tied) to the wood.

- This wood will release tannins into the water, regular water change can eliminate brownish water color over time or use Seachem Purigen. Wood can lower water pH over time, if your livestock prefers high pH, hard water environment, please research before adding wood in the tank.
