This little village will bring back the simple wonders of Christmases past reminiscent of the glitter-decorated cardboard houses that German-American families set up around their nativity scenes and Christmas trees. They had to be perfectly placed; so family members, particularly children, would keep moving the little houses around--or as they say, "putzing" (German) around--hence the name Putz Villages.

They became popular in the United States when they could be lit up around 1928. The church and two of the houses have holes in the back where you can attach small light bulbs as shown in the picture. (Light strand is not included.) The house with Santa does not have a light hole - I'm sure because we wants to stay hidden (can you find him?).

A great holiday decoration to enjoy for years.

Will be carefully packaged and promptly shipped.
