The cover has separated from this program.  The rest of the program is in very good condition with no other significant flaws.  Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program.

The 1974 Motor State 400 was held at Michigan International Speedway on June 15th.  A crowd of 53,000 would watch the NASCAR Grand National Series race for 200 laps on the 2 mile speedway.  Starting on the pole was Cale Yarborough.

The race was delayed for over three hours due to rain.  Once started, a battle between David Pearson and Richard Petty would end with Pearson winning by two car lengths.  Finishing third was Dave Marcis, followed by Cale Yarborough and Darrell Waltrip.
