  • Beschreibung: Hinter dem Brunnenhaus im Hof der Nürnberger Kaiserburg stehend blickt der Betrachter durch eine verwildert wirkenden Garten zum Margarethenturm (auch Heidenturm genannt). Der wohl im 13. Jahrhundert in den Formen der Spätromanik errichtete Turm enthält die kunsthistorisch bedeutsame Doppelkappelle, die in "Kaiserkapelle" oben und "Margarethenkapelle" unten unterteilt ist. Im Hintergrund sind weitere Gebäude der Burg zu sehen.

Entlang der Kanten sind Verschmutzungen und leichte Verfärbungen sowie Beschädigungen durch einzelne, meist rückseitig restaurierte, Randeinrisse feststellbar. Die Ecken sind teils grob geknickt. Die Darstellung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Die Farbigkeit ist frisch erhalten.

  • Description: Standing behind the well house in the courtyard of Nuremberg's Imperial Castle, the viewer looks through an overgrown garden to the Margarethenturm (also called Heidenturm). The tower, which was probably built in the 13th century in the late Romanesque style, contains the art-historically significant double chapel, which is divided into the "Emperor's Chapel" above and the "Margaret's Chapel" below. Other buildings of the castle can be seen in the background.

  • Condition: Good condition. Individual pale stains are visible in places. There is soiling and slight discolouration along the edges as well as damage from individual edge tears, most of which have been restored on the reverse. The corners are partly roughly creased. The illustration makes a very good impression. The colours are freshly preserved.
