FYI, I let auctions play out, so don't feel you need to make offers.

I am a devoted film buff, but I had never heard of this movie until I opened up this poster after buying it as
part of an auction lot.  As a former resident of Nashville, I knew all the names of the music stars.

Granted, 1965's "Second Fiddle to a Steel Guitar" wasn't a big hit, but 58-years later, this poster is a very
cool souvenir of Nashville's Music Scene during the 1960s.

The very loose plot has comedian Arnold Stang playing a country music fan whose snooty wife is
planning an opera event to impress local society leaders.  The twist is that the opera company gets
stranded in New York City.  Stang saves the day by gathering a large group of country artists to
step-in and entertain the crowd.   Of course everyone loves the show!

Somehow Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall, famed for their movie roles as "The Bowery Boys" and the "Dead
End Kids" were shoe-horned into this film, marking their first appearance in a color film, and reuniting
them onscreen after more than a decade.

Country stars pictured on the poster include:   Kitty Wells, Minnie Pearl, Lefty Frezzel, Bill Monroe, Little Jimmy Dickins, Faron Young, and many more.

This poster was part of a Lot I purchased at an estate auction near Stanford University.
