This ford 260-289 timing cover is the early style timing cover with the cast in timing pointer and has the cast in hole for a oil fill tube to be mounted to the timing cover and opened up if so desired.

The Early ford factory timing cover appears in good used condition for its age with what appears to be very little use. There is hardly any corrosion or deteration in the timing cover holes that connect to the water pump and hardly any corrosion/deteration in the water pump passage that would then connect to the water passage on a ford small block v8.

The casting number on the timing cover is C4AE-6059-B and the casting number on the aluminium water pump is C5AE-8505-D.

The aluminium water pump from what i have researched is a factory service replacement 289/289 hipo aluminium water pump.

The timing cover has the original four fan spacer bolts and 4 lower sump pan bolts included the only bolts missing are the bolts required to mount the timing cover to the engine block.

All threaded holes appear to be good with no damage.

These was removed from a low mileage engine many years ago and has been in dry storage ever since.

Make sure this is correct for your application before you buy it as there are mutiple 260/289 timing covers used throught the production of the engine made by ford.
