Large porcelain fairing-type ornament of a cat group - Papa cat in his night-cap and dressing-gown, dandling a kitten on his knee, whilst the other two variously play on a drum, and sit on a potty.

Their bed basket forms the spill holder although it’s easily big enough for a box of cook’s matches should you so wish.

Antique, late 19th/early 20th century.

Not marked, but I’m guessing German, as so many of these pieces were.

Two points of paint loss at rear, on corner edge of basket as pictured. Various paint blobs and extension fissures from time of manufacture, all pictured. Any questions about item please do ask, as the photographs provide a significant part of rhetorical description.

In excellent used condition with minimal wear - not bad for 100+ years!

Max. dimensions: 16.5cm x 15cm x 18cm
