Casio Map Meter: MAP-100

It's my pleasure to introduce this listing for a vintage Casio MAP-100 quartz digital map meter watch. Absolutely beautiful new-old-stock condition, this is likely the best condition example you will come across!

Always looking to innovate, Casio designed this watch to aid in the procedure of reading printed paper maps. This watch features a rotating bezel with gear/cog that moves with the bezel. When the bezel is in the off position, the gear is protected from damage and can't be accessed. Alternatively, rotate the bezel 180 degrees to the on position, and the gear protrudes from the left side of the watch. With the watch removed from your wrist, you can then measure a distance on a map by rolling the gear/cog over the paper and make a direct conversion to the distance unit desired. So, by rolling the gear over the map and performing the conversion, you can know the "real" distance along the path taken on the map.

This watch is fully functional, including the LCD display which is clear and without leakage or other blemishes. The watch features several modes, including the home display mode which shows the current time, day, month, date, and year. Additionally, the watch features a countdown timer mode, stopwatch mode, and alarm mode. All modes and features, as well as the piezoelectric "beep" function, are fully operational without issue.

This particular watch is in beautiful new-old-stock condition. The case and crystal are extraordinarily clean, with just a few minor scuffs and blemishes visible under direct light. A pair of fresh high-quality batteries were just installed. As well, a light coating of silicone grease was applied to the case gaskets to promote water resistance and prevent them from getting dry or brittle. I've examined the watch thoroughly, as well as tested the accuracy and functionality with no issues whatsoever; this watch is ready to be worn and enjoyed for years to come!

All pushers work smoothly and are not sticky.
Case seals are intact and look in excellent condition, a light coating of silicone grease was applied to prevent drying out and promote water resistance.
