Porphyrite or Porphyry is a black Basalt with inclusions of Feldspar.
Because these inclusions resemble Chinese script it is also known as Chinese Letter Stone or Chinese Writing Rock.
This Porphyrite is from Hunan Province, China.

Tumble stones are an ideal size to hold during meditation or to be used as pocket stones. Carry them in your bag or pocket or place them under your pillow.
