Vintage Seiko Quartz Open Gear Desk / Shelf Clock in a Clear Acrylic Pyramid, originally manufactured and marketed by Seiko in the mid-to-late 1970's. Operates on a single AA battery nicely concealed in the rear at the base of the open gear assembly. The clock has kept perfect time from the moment I installed the battery several months ago.

The enclosure base, "skeletonized" brass movement plates and 7-gear train have recently been cleaned and polished, with no damage or issues found. The clear decorative pyramid dust enclosure was found to be in very nice, undamaged condition except for a small cluster of 3 moderate scratches centered at the base of the back face which have been addressed, reduced and all but entirely polished out now and only barely visible.

Inclusive of the pyramid, the clock measures 8-1/2 inches tall X 8-1/2 inches wide X 5-1/4 inches deep. The oval dial face ring of the clock itself measures 5 inches in height X 4 inches wide, with the four primary hours marked in Roman numeral. There is also a second sweep which runs within a 60 second count ring of it's own.

A very attractive and interesting timepiece for your home or office, working perfectly and in exceptionally nice condition.
