The official Barcelona anthem is the
"Cant del Barça," composed by Jaume Picas and Josep Maria Espinàs.
The team is recognized for its distinctive dark blue and garnet-striped
jerseys, earning them the nickname Blaugrana.
Barcelona boasts an impressive domestic and
international trophy record. Domestically, they've won 77 titles, including 27
La Liga championships, 31 Copa del Rey victories, 14 Supercopa de España
titles, three Copa Eva Duarte trophies, and two Copa de la Liga titles. On the
international stage, Barcelona has secured 22 European and worldwide titles,
including five UEFA Champions League championships, a record four UEFA Cup

a joint-record two Latin Cups, and three FIFA Club World Cups.
Throughout its history, Barcelona has
consistently ranked high in various football rankings, including topping the
International Federation of Football History & Statistics Club World Ranking
in 1997, 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2015. As of May 2023, the club holds the ninth
position in the UEFA club rankings. Barcelona shares a fierce rivalry with Real
Madrid, and their matches are famously known as El Clásico.
The club enjoys immense global support and
boasts one of the largest social media followings among sports teams. Barcelona
players have also earned numerous individual accolades, with a record twelve
Ballon d'Or awards and seven FIFA World Player of the Year awards. In 2010,
three youth academy graduates (Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, and Xavi) were
collectively recognized as the top three players in the world, an unprecedented
achievement.
Barcelona is among the founding members of the Primera División and has never been relegated from the top division since its inception in 1929, along with Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid. In 2009, Barcelona made history by becoming the first Spanish club to win the continental treble, consisting of La Liga, Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League. They also achieved a remarkable feat by winning all six competitions they participated in that year: the Spanish Super Cup, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. In 2011, Barcelona secured five trophies, and their team under Pep Guardiola is regarded by some as the greatest in football history. By winning their fifth Champions League trophy in 2015, Barcelona became the first European club to achieve the continental treble twice.
