The program has wear to include a couple of small tears on the back cover, and some rippling.  All of the pages are secure. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program.

The 1967 American 500 was held at North Carolina Motor Speedway in Rockingham on October 29th.  The crowd of 53,378 watched the 44-car field take the green with David Pearson on the pole.

The recently retired Fred Lorenzen was assigned by Ford to form a new team out of the Holman-Moody shop in an all-out effort to beat Richard Petty and Chrysler.  Lorenzen tabbed Bobby Allison to drive the car in Allison's first trip to Rockingham.

Allison took the lead on lap 389 and would go on to beat his teammate, David Pearson, by over a lap for his eighth career win.  Finishing third was Paul Goldsmith, followed by AJ Foyt and Gordon Johncock.

Formula One Champion, Jim Clark, would run this race, starting 24th in a Holman-Moody Ford.  He had worked his way up to 12th before the motor let go.  Only 13 cars would finish this race.

Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost.  Thanks!
