Terry Tomalty (1935) is a celebrated Canadian artist hailing from Montreal (Verdun) and currently residing in the picturesque surroundings of Montreal (St. Bruno). His artistic journey began in the world of advertising, where he honed his creativity as an art director, senior art director, and vice-president at the J. Walter Thompson agency. However, it was in the 1990s that he fully embraced his passion for painting, specializing in oil as his medium of choice. Tomalty's canvases come alive with vibrant Fauvist colors, capturing the essence of diverse subjects, from bustling street scenes and serene landscapes to the thrill of sports, particularly hockey, as well as the charm of childhood and the allure of public events.
